hopefulWell, I did plan to make my first post on the actual day I started college, however due to timing and writing to much shit about myself (as if anyones going to read it!) and me procrastinating... its being wrote in the early hours of the next day. I could turn back time on the date, but that would just be silly, i'm not really turning back time! It's just me being... obsessive!
So yeah, today/yesterday (what ever you want to call it!) I started South East Essex college! For a while i've been planning to start a diary and I thought this may be a good time to start it seeing as it is kind of a milestone in life!
I have had diaries and livejournals before, but I have kinda neglectied them after one post. Looking back, I guess I needed somewhere to vent; these days I have so many people to vent to! Also when I did write a post afterwards- they were very boring! At 14 you think you have a life but you really don't! Thesedays I seem to never sit down, and the drama never stops! So I Pledge that I shall not forget about this diary!
My day (yes)today: 4th September 2008. First day of College.
My day started pretty normal, well I had a bath to get my hair all shiny! Nothing says HELLO more then shiny hair! I sound so vain! I dryed my hair (not normal!) and straightened it (not normal again!) and applied some makeup (totally not normal!). I managed to multitask while doing that, it's great being a woman! I played Isketch, (totally normal!) I guess I need some continuanity in my life!
Mum drove me to college, I wasn't at all nervous for some reason! Actually trying to find my group was daunting though! "Atrium" the woman told me; turns out the atrium is the main foyer- which is the size of... 4 or 5 tennis courts squared!
Luckily I saw the course leader (amazing seeing as shes only what, 4 foot tall!) and she sent me in the right direction.
I only stood on my own for a minute or 2 before people started intoducing themselves to me. A girl felt sorry for me as I was all alone and said her name was Amy, then the 2 girls next to her indroduced themselves. Sarah and Laura I think? I don't know i'm crap with names! Then more people got introduced to me as we went along but it's going to take me forever to remember their names!
After paperwork, they said that our group of around 60 will be split into 3, and (thank god) we got to choose our own groups! Us lot that had been chatting since the begginging stuck together and a few other girls joined, and we invited the twins into our group 2 just because they looked a bit gormless!
We all said we were so happy we were all in this group together, because some of the girls in the other groups seemed well lairy! We then had a break (I sware I'm never going to give up smoking, people kept lashing me fags!) and then went back into another room. We played this game where we got given smarties to eat but had to choose 2 smarties to not eat. We then had to chose 1 of the 2 and that colour represented a question, for example "what is the strangest thing you've ever seen" or "whats the most embarrasing thing thats ever happened to you!"
I chose blue, my question was "Reccomend a book or website", so I obviously said Isketch!
After that we just went through a few things (or was that before- I don't remember!) and got given our homework, then we were let out early!
After being rained on walking back with my new mates, I got a starbucks whilst trying to get hold of Linzi on her phone! The girl never answers her goddam phone! We hung out at starbucks for a bit and then we went off to go put the posters up for our show. On the way I bumped into a rather tipsy Ant and Rach! We had a quick chat about really random shit and went off. Linz said she can't believe I slept with someone as ugly as Ant, but he has something about him haha! She said Rach was fit though (agreed!) which kind of compensates because i've had sex with her too! LOL!
We stuck posters up and bought a subway and a pack of fags in between, then we cotched out at the drama studio for a bit. Donna came in too early for my liking but at least she was on time for once in her life!
5 rhythms was good today. We had a new guy joining us, as a guest I think, he seems very grounded.
The rhythms got me moving a lot, I said in the talk afterwards that I, for some strange reason, really enjoyed invading Valeries personal space! I actually find it really fun to poke and prod at Val behind her huge glass barrier, disconnecting her from the rest of the world socially. Oneday I may prod hard enough and the glass will shatter!
I just think it's sad that she's so disconnected in that way, it's obvious she has the barriers up for a reason; I don't think her physical appearance helped her at all in life! Especially as she went to one of the worst schools in Essex! With our support I hope she breaks through the barrier and lets herself just be. Oneday gymnastics and Emerge may be the non-priority to her. I really hope for her sake she'll oneday enjoy a hug, a kiss, a playfight, and then the big S-E-X. Life isn't about sex but without it, there would be no life, so it's good to experiance it at least!
At the end of the session we enjoyed some poetry and singing. I must go as I have college again the next morning, but i'd like to share this with myself in the future when I have forgotton and reading back, and to any readers that have stumbled across my page.
